Upgrading your Awstats script is quite simple to do.  Please follow the below instructions on how to do s.

1. Download the latest Version

You can get the latest version of Awstats direct from their website.

http://awstats.sourceforge.net/

On the above page scroll down and you will see the latest version, download the zip file of the script from the right hand side.

2. Extract the files to your computer

Once you have the files simply unzip the contents of this file to your local computer using the inbuilt software or your preferred.

3. Upload the new files using FTP/SFTP

Once you have the files on your machine you will see there is a few folders, the only one that needs to be used is the wwwroot folder.  Inside this folder you will see 5 more.

cgi-bin
classes
css
icon
js

The first step is to upload the classes, css, icon and js folders to the awstatfiles located inside your httpdocs folder overwriting any files it prompts you for.

The second step is to step into the cgi-bin folder on your computer and you should see the below files and folders.

lang
lib
plugins
awstats.model.conf
awredir.pl
awstats.pl

These files will all need uploading to your FTP and inserting in to cgi-bin/awstats folder overwriting any it prompts you for.

This should successfully upgrade your Awstats install.
