On starting WinSCP you will be presented with the session manager. This is where you add / edit or remove your site.

To add your site, click "Session" on the left hand side

In the field labelled 'Host name', enter your site name. This will be either 'SITENAME.34sp.com' or if you have a registered domain it will be 'SITENAME.EXT'. eg. mywebsite.34sp.com or mywebsite.com(.co.uk etc)
In the field labelled 'User name', enter your FTP username - This is case-sensitive.
In the field labelled 'Password', enter your FTP password - This is also case-sensitive. The port should be left as 22
Select 'SFTP' as the protocol.

Press 'Save', to store the details for future use. In the 'Save session as' dialogue box that appears you can give the session a name.

As default WinSCP opens your website in the directory prior to your www.SITENAME.34sp.com main web root directory. Therefore before you start to upload you have to switch to the 'httpdocs' directory.
This can be rectified in 2 ways. The first of these is after you press the 'Login' button to remember to switch to the 'httpdocs' in the right hand pane of your web directory each time you connect. Alternatively you can set up WinSCP to automatically change to the proper directory for you.
To setup WinSCP to change to the correct directory automatically press the 'Load' button on the Session Manager screen, then choose 'Directories' on the left hand side. In the field 'Remote Directory' type in "httpdocs/".

Connecting to your site

The first time you connect to the site, you will receive a warning similar to this
